Soaring through the mind
In “Gemini sky” I delve into the mystical realm of the zodiac sign Gemini, capturing its inherent duality through a dreamy sky-scape rendered in a fusion of watercolors and pastels. In the mists of the playful colors emerges two figures intertwining in a dance of light and shadows, a representation of opposing forces, the Gemini twins. Highlighting the airy blues and greens fashioned in a light breeze across the piece identifies the quicksilver communication and intellectual curiosity of the Gemini soul.
This is an original painting created on a 9” x 12” paper with an unpainted border of around ⅜”. The paper I use is Arches heavy weight 140lb cold-pressed watercolor paper designed for the watercolor techniques I use. Keep in mind, slight warping of the paper is normal for watercolor and does not affect the presentation of the piece once framed. I believe using the highest quality materials for each of my paintings for beautiful vibrant colors that are long-lasting for generations to come.
